A collection of 31 short excerpts from piano duets by various composers, compiled by Townsend, possibly in connection with his research on piano duets. Inscribed and signed by Townsend, "To Percy Scholes, with best wishes - Long may he write!!" The excerpts include: Sonata, K.358, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791); Duetto no.6 and Duettino no.3 by Tommaso Giordani (1730-1806); Sonata Op.XVII no.6 by Johann Christian Bach (1735-1782); the remainder of the excerpts are not identified.
